The Festival International de Louisiane is an event that is community based and formed by a non profit organization way back in 1986. Its main goal is to come up with a yearly arts festival, both in the aspect of performing and visual arts. It celebrates the French culture and heritage right in the southern part of Louisiana. In fact, it features combined cultures of Hispanic, African, Caribbean and French.

It is considered to be the biggest outdoor and free of charge event that is of the Francophone in the entire country. It focuses on the main connections between the Francophone and the Acadiana. Every year, all artists from the said regions in the world are encouraged to attend and show their talents.
