The Lake Fausse Pointe State Park is a state park and recreation area in St. Martinville, Louisiana. It is dubbed as the perfect point to start exploring the cultural and natural heritage of the South Louisiana region.

Occupying a site which was once a part of the Atchafalaya Basin, the Lake Fausse Pointe State Park traces its roots back to the 1700s when its surrounding area was first used as a home for the Chitimacha Indians. It was then dominated my French and Acadian settlers who used the site for farming and trapping. Afterwards, it was occupied by Spaniards and Canary Islanders, giving the area a rich and diverse cultural history.

The Lake Fausse Pointe State Park covers 6000 acres where visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, canoeing, biking, birding, fishing, kayaking, picnicking, camping, and wildlife viewing.
