The Tickfaw State Park is a state park and recreation area in Springfield, Louisiana. It is best noted as one of Louisiana’s most famous state parks, thanks to its natural settings, location, and recreational opportunities.

Opened in May 1999, one of the Tickfaw State Park’s main draws is that it is located near New Orleans and Baton Rouge. People who are looking for some getaway from these metropolitan areas go to the site to commune with nature. Usually, folks enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, picnicking, canoeing, bird watching, and biking just to name a few. They also maintain a nature center with a massive 800-gallon aquarium that is stocked with fish that are commonly found in the Tickfaw River. Folks can also just stroll through the various natural habitats found at the site.
