The Lamoine State Park is a state park and recreation area in Ellsworth, Maine. It is noted for its proximity to some of the most sought after vacation spots in the state of Maine.
Covering 55 acres, the Lamoine State Park may not be as massive as other state parks in the United States, but its location, recreational opportunities, and beautiful scenery kind of makes up for it. It is a great alternative access to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and several area lighthouses. It is perfect for boating, camping, fishing, hunting, picnicking, RVing, and cross country skiing.
Sadly, the Lamoine State Park is only open to the public seasonally. It usually closes on the 15 of October, although, it still welcomes winter sports enthusiasts.
