The Peacock Beach State Park is a state park and recreation area in Richmond, Maine. It is one of the more recently opened units of the Maine state parks system.
Opened in 2010, the Peacock Beach State Park is managed by the Town of Richmond. It is commonly referred to as a great place to getaway when spending some time in the mid coast region of Maine. It covers 93 acres, and is a popular destination among local residents.
The Peacock Beach State Park is a seasonal park, though. It is only open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. This makes the park a well known summer destination for people in the area and its neighboring locales. It is perfect for swimming, hunting, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.
