The Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum primarily features the 2 foot narrow gauge railway through the state of Maine. It offers train excursions all through the train line every Saturdays all year-long and additional Sundays from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.

The Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum kind of has a weird name. Especially since the trains never really reach Waterville and Farmington, Maine. However, it is doing a great job in trying to preserve the history of the line with its replication during its trips. They employ the methods that the system used back when it was still in full operation (from 1895 to the 1930s), from the hand signals to the equipment.

Using steam, gas, and diesel-hydraulic trains, the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum is a great experience everyone should at least try once.
