The Yarmouth Clam Festival is known to be one of the biggest summer events in Maine. It still goes strong even after a total of 42 years. It run for three days each year and it gets to be participated by about 120,000 visitors each and every time. It swells the pleasant village of New England to about 15 times more.

The rest of the festivities include also a parade during the Friday night and fireworks for Saturday night. There are contests for Clam Shucking and some clam cook-off. It also has various demonstrations for clam cooking along with the Firefighters’ Muster. It is participated by about 150 craftsmen, photographers and other artists. They get to display all their work with pride.
