Built in circa 1745, the Belair Mansion has been registered as a National Historic Place and is one of the most visited attractions in the state.

The five-part plantation house boasts of beautiful Georgian architecture and was originally owned by Samuel Ogle, a provincial governor of the state. In 1914, the NY-based architectural firm Delano & Aldrich had worked on enlarging the property, which had gone into the possession of William Woodward, a popular 20th century horseman.

Besides displaying a collection of family portraits and objects, the property also exhibits various works of art, including the Paintings of the Four Seasons, a painting that had hung on the house?s halls for 250 years. There are also the privately issued prints that belong to the Woodward collection as well as several original John Shaw furnishings.
