Herrington Manor State Park is a 365-acre park located in western Maryland. In the 1930's the Civilian Conservation Corps helped dam Herrington Creek to form Herrington Lake. They also built cabins and cut trails to make the park what it is today.

Herrington Manor offers recreation in all phases of the year. During the winter there are many trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. The lake also allows for ice-fishing. During the warmer months, after the snow has melted, one can swim, fish, and boat on the lake as well as hike, play tennis and volleyball and mountain bike along the trails.

Herrington Manor has twenty fully furnish cabins that are available for rent all year long. The cabins have electricity and running water as well as kitchens and bathrooms. The park also has a small nature center where visitors can learn about a few of the native species that lurk in the surrounding woods.
