Baltimore is a bustling and proud port city of Maryland. The most popular landmark in the city is the Inner Harbor. It is a historic seaport, commercial and cultural district and tourist. It is also an important icon of the city, both economic and physical. The layout, planning and development of the Inner Harbor earned it a status as ?the model for post-industrial waterfront redevelopment? in the world.

The name Inner Harbor used to refer to the shallow waters and the port. Now, the name also applies to the surrounding areas in the city, including the commercial and cultural area built around the port. The harbor is strategically located from the city?s other major attractions, such as the M&T Bank Stadium and Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Inner Harbor?s cultural area contains several museums such as American Visionary Art Museum and Jewish Museum of Maryland.
