Sugarloaf Mountain is a relatively small mountain, measuring of up to only 800 feet in height. It is open to the public for free, albeit being a privately owned property by the Stronghold Incorporated.

Listed as a National Natural Landmark in 1969 for its natural history and geological value, this land is a very good example of a monadnock, or an isolated hill that is surrounded by level plains. It is also one of the many small mountains named ?sugarloaf? around the world.

Today, tons of activities can be done at Sugarloaf Mountain. People actually visit it for the scenic view at the top, as well as for hiking, picnicking, and rock climbing. Locals and tourists alike know of the great value of this mountain.
