The Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park is a state park and recreation area in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. It sits at the middle of National Park Service?s Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor.
The Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor celebrates the heritage of canals in the older days when it was used to transport raw materials and manufactured goods from one area to another. It also marks the location (Blackstone River and Valley) where the industrial revolution was born in the United States. The park is also home to the historic Stanley Woolen Mill, which is currently being developed for commercial and tourism purposes.
As for recreation, visitors of the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor can enjoy picnicking, hiking, canoeing, hunting, mountain biking, skiing, and sightseeing.
