The Borderland State Park is a state park and recreation area in North Easton, Massachusetts. It is one of the most important historic sites in the state of Massachusetts.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and a designated US Historic District, the Borderland State Park is most historically significant for its association with Oakes Ames. Ames is son of the former Massachusetts Governor, Oliver Ames, and grandson to former US Representative Oakes Ames. He was also a Harvard botanist. He and his wife Blanche Ames Ames built their estate at the site in 1906 and named it Borderland. It was later acquired by the Commonwealth and opened as a state park.
The Borderland State Park offers a wide range of recreational activities including horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, hiking, ice skating, and sledding.
