The Charles M. Braga Jr. Memorial Bridge is a bridge that crosses the Taunton River. It connects the towns of Fall River and Somerset carrying the Interstate 195.

The Charles M. Braga Jr. Memorial Bridge is composed of main bridge with a 3-span continuous riveted steel through truss with a cast in place concrete deck and continuous riveted plate girders for approach spans. It was built as a means to provide interstate access to the settlements located along Buzzard?s Bay.

Running 5780 feet long, the Charles M. Braga Jr. Memorial Bridge got its name after Charles M. Braga. Braga was a local resident of Fall River who died during the Pearl Harbor attack in World War II. The bridge, constructed from 1959 to 1966, has been repaired and rehabilitated in the past couple of decades, first in the late 1980s before its 25th anniversary, and more recently in 2009, when it was repainted in its current color.
