The Chestnut Hill Reservation is a state park , historic site, and recreation area in Brighton, Massachusetts. It is a very notable site to enjoy some time outdoors with its top notch facilities and beautiful natural setting.

The Chestnut Hill Reservation traces its history back to the 19th century when the Chestnut Hill Reservoir was created. The creation of this manmade lake supplied the metropolitan?s water needs, giving the park an extra credential. Being built that far back, the reservation is also filled with historic structures, making the site also eligible for its listing on the National Register of Historic Places.

Visitors of the Chestnut Hill Reservation can easily enjoy strolling through the park and basking on its beautiful views. It is also outfitted with a skating rink and swimming pool. Shoreline fishing and touring its historic structures are also allowed.
