The Cochituate State Park is a state park and recreation area in Natick, Massachusetts. It is a well known spot for recreation in the region.
Like many other smaller state parks in Massachusetts, the Cochituate State Park is made out of an ex-reservoir that was created for the city of Boston. Lake Cochituate used to serve the big city, but is now delegated into a recreation area. The park preserves its natural condition and the water quality.
Visitors of the Cochituate State Park can enjoy pretty much everything people can do in a state park. It is perfect for swimming, picnicking, canoeing, boating, and fishing. As all types of boats are allowed here, water sports like windsurfing are also allowed.
