The Douglas State Forest is a state park, recreation area, and natural area in Douglas, Massachusetts. It is located less than an hour away from Boston.

The best thing about the Douglas State Forest is that it is located on the borders of Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. This makes the park quite special and accessible to people in the tri-state area. A tri-state marker is also placed on the southwestern portion of the park.
The Douglas State Forest also contains a portion of the Midstate Trail, which is a long distance hiking trail, extending through central Massachusetts to the Mt. Watatic. It is also home to a rare kind of Atlantic White Cedar swampland.

Covering almost six thousand acres, the Douglas State Forest is also ideal for various recreational opportunities including swimming, hiking, canoeing, boating, fishing, picnicking, horseback riding, hunting, and skiing.
