Franklin Park Zoo stands along the line of beautiful parks in Boston. If you go from the Boston Common to Franklin Park Zoo, you’ll have a peek at a common, a garden, a mall, a former tidal marsh, a river glen, several ponds and an arboretum.

Franklin Park Zoo has a woodland preserve and The Playstead, an area for active recreation and sports. It’s now one of the places people in Boston go to for enjoyment and sight-seeing.

This big zoo houses hundreds of animal species, like tigers, kangaroos, giraffes and birds. The set-up of the zoo is very homey. Animals can roam around the wide spaces they’re provided with. Visitors are also free to go near the animals, and even hold them. Franklin Park Zoo is a place where people can actually enjoy the wild, while being part of it.
