The Natural Bridge State Park is a state park and recreation area in Adams, Massachusetts. It is most famous for being the home of a geologic wonder.
The most notable thing about the Natural Bridge State Park is that it contains the Natural Bridge, which is a 550 million year old bedrock marble. It is noted because it is the only natural white marble arch/bridge in all of North America. It became a state park in 1985, bur has been a tourist spot since the 1800s (even while it was still operated as a marble quarry site). Even the famous novelist Nathaniel Hawthorne visited the site in 1838 and documented the trip, along with his other local adventures, in the ?An American Notebook?.
