This is definitely one site that will interest a lot of boys and boys at heart. The Schooner Adventure , moored in Gloucester, is a good example of a fast boat during the time when engines were still not much well known in the oceans.

Launched in 1926, the Adventure was one of the last of the so called Grand Banks schooners. These vessels are very much well known for their speed, which is considered outstanding for ships using sails.

Through a meticulous restoration program, the ship was built back to its former glory. Visitors can now see the schooner as it was during its heydays of cutting through the ocean. Once the project is complete, the Adventure is also expect to set sail oince again this year.
