The South Cape Beach State Park is a state park and recreation area in Mashpee, Massachusetts. It is famous for its outdoor recreational opportunities.
Offering a beautiful beach on the southern edge of Cape Cod, the South Cape Beach State Park is a well known summer getaway for families and groups who are looking for a relaxing time out. It is situated between the Vineyard Sound and the Waquoit Bay and presents a wide array of coastal environments. This collection includes barrier beach, salt marsh, pitch pine and scrub oak woodlands, as well as several kettle ponds. The white sand beach stretches for more than a mile, although it is not that wide.
Visitors of the South Cape Beach State Park can easily enjoy swimming, hiking, hunting, fishing, canoeing, and boating. There are also interpretive programs available at the site.
