The Ware River Watershed Area is a state park and recreation area in Worcester County, Massachusetts. It features the Ware River Watershed, which is about twenty three thousand acres.

The Ware River Watershed was created as a means to provide drinking water supply to the residents of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is located between the Quabbin Reservoir and the Wachusett Reservoir. However, due to its nature, the Ware River Watershed Area offers limited water related recreational opportunities. In fact, like other water supply watersheds/reservoirs, this one only allows shoreline fishing.

There are a lot of land based activities offered at the Ware River Watershed Area, though. Visitors of the park could easily enjoy the trails perfect for walking, hiking, horseback riding, and biking. Hunting, bird watching, snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling are also commonly enjoyed at the park.
