The Highland Festival is the proof of the celebration of tradition for over four decades now. It is celebrated right within the campus of the Alma College which feature the best of the Scottish tradition. The entire festival includes various competitions of bands, piping and drumming performances. There is also a unique border collie competition and a Grand Parade for its culminating activity.

All around the events area is where you can find various vendors selling numerous items like shortbread, some meat pies, bagpipes and other items that symbolize the Scottish culture. There are clan tents around which tell more of the same tradition too. Thousands of visitors primarily around the country and Canada gather up for this event to witness this one of a kind celebration.
