Also known as the Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, the Immaculate Conception Church is an Italian Renaissance Church in Iron Mountain, Michigan. It was built in 1902 after the Italian immigrant population of the north side of the city decided to form their own parish after servicing most of the late 19th century in the downtown Iron Mountain.
The construction of the Immaculate Conception Church was supervised by the former Italian count, Father Giovanni Sinopoli di Guinta. He helped establish the parish in just one year of his stay with the congregation.
Today, the Immaculate Conception Church still serves the parish that built it more than a century ago. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places and also was declared as a Michigan State Historic Site.
