The Millennium Park in Grand Rapids is a massive urban park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It outsized the New York City?s Central Park upon completion, and is now the largest public park in West Michigan with its 1500 acres of area in total.

The Millennium Park project was started in 1998 upon the plans to expand the Johnson Park by the Parks Department director, Roger Sabine. It was renamed by the Kent County Board of Commissioners as the Millennium Park and celebrated its grand opening in 2004.

Today, the Millennium Park is located on the former site of the Domtar mine. It features a couple of trails, some picnic shelters, a beach with splashpad, a boardwalk, boating center, and fishing dock.
