The Motown Museum is a building that is small and can be described as shingle clad. It was occupied way back from 1957 and up to 1972. It is the place where the records of the original Motown sounds were made. You can get to witness the actual studios where even the recordings of Marvin Gaye were made that turned out to be number one hit songs of all time.

This historical museum remains to be one of the most popular tourist attractions of Detroit. It attracts a lot of visitors on an annual basis not just from all over the country but from countries worldwide. Its founder in 1985 was Esther Gordy Edwards whose mission is to preserve highly the essence and legacy left by the entire Motown Record Corporation.
