Built in 1840, the Old Presque Isle Light is an old lighthouse that only served its purpose in less than 3 decades. In 1867, after facing too much harsh weather, it already became too deteriorated that Congress has decided to build a new lighthouse in the area. It was decommissioned in 1871, as most the task is already passed to the New Presque Isle Light located nearby.

Demolished and rebuilt using the original foundation in the 1930s, the Old Presque Isle Light now works as a museum. It is very popular among those who are interested in ghost stories and are looking for some supernatural adventure. Tales from old visitors continuously make prospective ones think that they will find spirits lurking in the area.
