Established in 1921, the Onaway State Park is a well known travel destination in Onaway, Michigan. It is mostly popular for its numerous campgrounds, which is 96 in total, some of which are rustic, some are modern and semi-modern.

The Onaway State Park offers a wide range of activities. Aside from camping, there is also a good amount of trails available on the site. Folks can also do some cross country skiing in the area, as well as some swimming, fishing, and boating.

Onaway State Park prides itself for having a beautiful view of the Black Lake and a rugged, yet picturesque terrain. It is also just 10 miles away from the stunning Ocqueoc Falls, which is also the largest waterfall in the lower peninsula of Michigan.
