Spanning the St. Marys River that is located between Canada and the United States, the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge stands and connects the two twin cities of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. It is a truss arch bridge with matching suspended deck that is operated by the International Bridge Administration under the Sault Ste. Marie Bridge Authority.

The Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge was opened in 1962 and has been operated daily since. It spans a total of 2.8 miles and is primarily used for motor vehicles, although bikes are also allowed to cross, given that they have proper precautions and equipment for their visibility.

Home to the annual International Bridge Walk, the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge has also been quite a well known tourist spot in the twin cities.
