When you think of historic landmark, you would often think of big buildings and monuments. But in the city of Manistee, you well get the chance to see an entirely different kind of landmark. The SS City of Milwaukee will leave you in awe as it is a full sized ferry that now serves as a museum for visitors here.
The City of Milwaukee was once part of the of the fleet of ferries that plied the Lake Michigan. The ferry served this route from the moment of her launch in 1931, up until she was retired permanently in 1982.

Today, visitors can get a glimpse of the ferry?s well built and luxurious interior, which was preserved as part of conservation efforts.
