Held every second weekend in June is the Tawas Point Celebration Days. If you happen to be on the area of the Baldwin Township in Michigan around this time, it would be a great thing to pop in the event and see for yourself how the area celebrates the American heritage.

Started in the mid 1980s, the Tawas Point Celebration Days features a series of events, including demonstrations of various old time activities like traditional crafts, weaving, spinning, and blacksmithing, lighthouse tours, 19th century reenactments, fishing derby, educational displays, and other children?s activities. There is also traditional music, muzzle loader demonstration, and guided hikes offered. It is now a family oriented tradition by the people in the area, sponsored by the Friends of Tawas Point State Park.
