Also known as the Edison Institute, the Henry Ford or the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village is America’s largest complex that functions as an indoor-outdoor history museum. It was started by Henry Ford in accordance to his dreams of preserving important historical items.

The Henry Ford features rare items of high historical significance. On display in this museum at Dearborn, Michigan are pieces like Abraham Lincoln’s Ford’s Theatre chair, Rosa Parks’ bus, John F. Kennedy’s presidential limousine, Thomas Edison’s laboratory, and the bicycle shop of the Wright Brothers. From its opening in 1929, it has also had more additions, including an IMAX theatre to keep up with these modern times.

There’s just a whole lot to see at the Henry Ford. This is why it is very important not to miss it, especially when you’re already in the area.
