The Tulip Time Festival is an annual celebration in Holland, Michigan in accordance to the area?s Dutch heritage. As the city has been found largely by Dutch immigrants, the traditions were passed on even after generations.

Held every mid-May, these festivities have already been around for more than 80 years already. It was first established in the late 20s as a means to beautify the community. But since visitors came to see the tulips bloom, it has already required a celebration of some sort, starting a tradition.

Today, the Tulip Time Festival attracts thousands of people yearly. It also involves a series of events in the duration of its ten day celebration, including concerts and a carnival. It was even named as the best American small town festival by Reader?s Digest in 2004.
