The Afton Historical Society Museum features exhibits that tell of the celebrations for July 4. It was started in 1980 with the purpose of identifying and gathering up materials, which would aid in the establishment of the history of the area. Even after 30 years, their mission to help visitors explore and know more about the historical information of the city remains consistently unchanged.

It is also the leading venue of numerous events like the Afton Fest that caters to many of its locals while celebrating with amazing food, overflowing beer and love music along with prizes for games.
