The Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is one of the popular places in St. Paul, Minnesota. The park houses its own zoo and conservatory as well as other attractions that provide visitors a dynamic experience within the site. It also offers seasonal attractions such as its amusement park, animal exhibits, and Japanese Garden.

The Zoo came about in the 19th century, starting with the gift of three deer. The City soon started collecting other animals like foxes, elks, buffalo, and many other animals who are housed in their fenced pasture within the park. The construction of the zoo began in the 1930?s.

Today, it now houses tigers, lions, polar bears, snakes, zebras, giraffes, penguins, monkeys, and seals, with some of them housed indoors during the winter. During this season, visitors to the site can also go into a building where they can view the animals through large observation windows.

Aside from the zoo, the Cosmo Zoo and Park serves as a wonderful place for holding special events and programs like summer camps, talks, and flower shows.
