Farmamerica or better known as The Minnesota Agricultural Interpretative Center was set to preserve and promote the heritage and culture of the Minnesota agriculture in 1978. Everyone is encouraged to take an agricultural tour that goes from 1850 to the present time at a 120 acre site.

Built in the 1859?s, tourists can visit this authentic farm site that will take you back to the time of how farm life was like in the old times living in the state of Minnesota. After signing the Traverse de Sioux treaty in 1851, this newly opened land was home to the early settlers coming from the Eastern United States and Europe by boat, ox card, covered wagons and on foot.

About 40% of the residents of Minnesota lived on family farms by the 1930?s and farmers began to specialize in growing a variety of crops and animals
There is also a feed mill; it was built for local marketplace for farmers to grind, sell, deliver and transport their grains by railroad to their destination.

This local feed mill was also the place where local farmers can purchase seed, livestock feed, fertilizers and tools. There are many other farm and materials that visitors can enjoy in Farmamerica.
