The Goldstein Museum of Design is recognized internationally as a teaching museum and research center that has interpreted the significant role of art in our daily lives. The Museum is responsible for the collection, preservation, exhibitions, and documentations of clothing, textile, and other decorative and graphic arts focusing on the 19th and 20th centuries. Its permanent collections,boast of costumes and other Decorative Arts Collections.

As the visions of 2 sisters named Harriet and Vetta Goldstein, The Museum also has its own non-profit organization called The Friends of the Goldstein Museum of Design. The foundation aims to encourage volunteerism, as well as raising the museum?s public visibility. Until now, the foundation is still responsible for shaping the collections and organizing forums for public displays and interpretation.
