To get yourself some fast-paced sports action in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, then head out to the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.

Also known simply as the Metrodome, this multi-purpose sports arena is home to many professional Minnesota teams. The purple football pride of city, the Minnesota Vikings, has been wreaking havoc on this field since 1982. The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers of the Big Ten Conference college baseball team also is based here, as well as the previous home of the Minnesota Twins. It has also hosted other sports events such as Monster Jam, as well as concerts, religious gatherings and conventions.

Opened on April 3, 1982, the Metrodome features a uniquely constructed dome. The dome is air-supported and made from Teflon and coated fiberglass sandwiching a bag of air blown by turbofans.
