The Roseau County Historical Society Museum serves as a medium by which the Roseau County Historical Society fulfills its mission of working towards the collection, preservation and exhibition of the Roseau County heritage. In order to make this possible, the Society locates and collects any material which may help to establish or illustrate the history of Roseau County. From there, several exhibits and displays feature these items, artifacts, and information so for the public to access them in a secure and suitable environment.

As time passes by, these collections have included pictures, videos, printed materials, manuscripts, American Indian artifacts, and other personal or public items that help depict and illustrate life, events, conditions, or activities from all over the country. They have been gathered and acquired to help people understand the history of Roseau County. While not all of these items are found in the Museum, some are found in the Interpretive Center.

The exhibits featured in the Museum offer the people of Roseau, both young and old, an opportunity to remember or learn the rich history of Roseau County. Covering a variety of fields and subjects such as genealogy, native and immigrant exploration, regional developments, religion, education, science, art, and many others, the Museum helps preserve the heritage of the County.
