Built in the Federal style architecture, the Arlington mansion in Natchez, Mississippi was constructed in 1816. A year after being accepted in the National Register of Historic Places, it was declared as a National Historic Landmark in 1974 for its significance for being the basic model for home interiors in the Mississippi region.

Sadly, no one is taking care of the antebellum villa. And as the property measures of 55 acres, it is prone to vandals. In fact, the severity of the attacks of these antisocial groups has already caused the endangerment of Arlington?s integrity. The interiors were spray painted massively and a fire has damaged the rear of the structure brutally.

The site is listed as a threatened historic landmark as of 2006.
