The GI Museum is a museum dedicated to the history and the unraveling present condition of America’s military. They host year events including what they call the “soldier cuisine”. This event offers everyone from the community to come and relive the “soldier cuisine”. However the participants of re-enacting the said event certainly needs to follow some certain standards, the new performers are not expected to have all the necessary props and equipment since the museum will provide most of the detailed information needed to give the best props and dress needed to re-live the typical American GI life.

The Museums goal is to show and educate the current and future generations of what the common soldiers life and experiences in doing patriotic deeds for the good of the country. The participants wear enlisted officer dress uniforms from their branches of service during the era they want to portray. The living history events consists of a catered lunch similar to how a common American GI could have during a military campaign, fire arm and ammunition demonstrations and military demonstrations such as drills.
