The Golden Memorial State Park is a state park and recreation area in Walnut Grove, Mississippi. It offers a natural setting to those looking to experience some outdoor adventure.
As the name suggests, the Golden Memorial State is a memorial to the post Civil War era where much of what people know today has started developing and taking shape. It has a one-room schoolhouse popular during the late 1800s to early 1900s on the site as its main memorial feature. The park also offers picnic tables, grills, nature trails, grills, and a 15-acre spring fed lake that is stocked with bream and bass and is popular for fishing. The site is also home to the Loblolly Trail which is known for featuring the second largest loblolly pine tree in all of Mississippi.
