The Hattiesburg Zoo is one of the few zoos located in the Southeast US and it’s also one of the few that offer free admission – which, in this case, would be for members of the Zoo Society, other reciprocating zoos, and the American Zoological Association. Children under two years of age will not be charged for admission as well while children below 12 years and those in military service as well as senior citizens will be charged discounted rates.

The Hattiesburg Zoo is only closed on Mondays but is open for the rest of the week from 10 in the morning until four in the afternoon. Parking is free but visitors will have to pay extra to ride the zoo’s carousel or train.
