Declared as a National Historic Landmark in 1987, the Highland Park Dentzel Carousel boasts of being the last remaining original carousel building that was constructed following a Dentzel blueprint. It stands in the same location from 1909 and was restored once in the 1980s by Rosa Ragan, the top specialist when it comes to restoration in all of the United States.

The Highland Park Dentzel Carousel measures 30 feet in diameter and features 28 animals.
