The Jim Henson Delta Boyhood Exhibit is a museum of sorts in Leland, Mississippi. It is dedicated to Jim Henson, who grew up in the area and became one of the best noted puppeteers of all time.
Housed in the Washington County Tourist Center/Leland Chamber of Commerce, the Jim Henson Delta Boyhood Exhibit showcases displays about Jim Henson, his family, and his works. The exhibit was actually given by the Jim Henson Company as a gift to the people of Leland. It includes a Henson Family album, a tableau that depicts the birth of Kermit the Frog?s birth on Deer Creek, and a video center packed with several of Henson?s early works. There?s also a room filled with Muppet memorabilia and a small park by the beautiful Deer Creek.
