The John W. Kyle State Park is a state park and recreation area in Sardis, Mississippi. It was named after the former US representative from Mississippi and state senator, John W. Kyle.
Located just one hour out of Memphis, the John W. Kyle State Park offers a great amount of recreational opportunities to its visitors. It has facilities for picnicking, golfing, camping, boating, and swimming. The site also has cabins, tennis courts, volleyball courts, fire rings, and playgrounds among other things. Located 25 miles away from the campus of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), the park is also a great place to spend a football weekend.
The John W. Kyle State Park also hosts a wide array of annual events. It is also located a short drive away from other attractions like the Upper Sardis Wildlife Management Area, Holly Springs National Forest, the historic Kyle Home, and the Heflin House Museum just to name few.
