The Lake Lowndes State Park is a state park and recreation area in Columbus, Mississippi. It features the beautiful 150-acre Lake Lowndes.

Touted as an ideal family getaway, the Lake Lowndes State Park offers a wide array of outdoor recreational activities for every age group. The site is equipped with facilities that are ideal lodging (cabins), picnicking, boating, and other athletic sports. They have a gym with an indoor baskeball/volleyball court. They also have an ampitheater, card room, playground, marina, playing fields for softball, tennis complex, and a disc golf course. The park also allows fishing and water skiing (although only limited on weekends and holidays only). Hiking is also quite popular at the park with its 3.5 mile nature trail. Leisure walkers can also enjoy the site’s walking track.
