The Lois Dowdle Cobb Museum of Archaeology is an archaeology museum in Starkville, Mississippi. It is designed to serve as a complement to the research mission of the Cobb Institute.
Also known as the Cobb Institute Museum, the Lois Dowdle Cobb Museum of Archaeology aims to provide exhibits that are about the Native American cultures of the Southeastern region of the United States as well as the civilizations of the ancient Mediterranean and Middle East regions. The museum has artifacts and displays of items excavated from the state of Mississippi as well as other countries like Israel and Greece and other countries from the South and Central Americas.
The Lois Dowdle Cobb Museum of Archaeology is named after Lois Dowdle Cobb, a friend and legacy of the Mississippi State University.
