Andrew Glass constructed the McRaven House in 1797 in the town called Walnut Hills which is presently known as Vicksburg Mississippi. During the Civil War period, the Mc Raven was also known as the Bobb House which is officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places in such name. The name Mc Raven was derived from the street which it was previously located. This street is now known today as Harrison Street. The Mc Raven was officially listed in the Mississippi Department of Archives and History?s Historic Preservation list since January 8, 1978 because of its rich history and contribution to the civil war. Moreover the Mc Raven is also believed to be haunted and is also popularly known as ?most haunted house in Mississippi?.
