The Mississippi Industrial Heritage Museum is an industrial museum in Meridian, Mississippi. It features the historic Soulé Steam Feed Works.
The Soulé Steam Feed Works is a historic business founded in 1891 by George Soulé. The company manufactured machineries and engines and has patented over 40 items during Soulé’s lifetime. It served the lumber industry at large and has become a very well established business during its long run. The complex located in Meridian was listed as a Mississippi Landmark and designated as a US Historic District Contributing Property.
The Mississippi Industrial Heritage Museum is housed in the Meridian factory of the Soulé Steam Feed Works. It showcases displays about the historic business, including the longest operating belt-driven line drive shaft in the US.
